COUPLES THERAPY · ONLINE

Understanding the relationship, patterns of conflict, and possibilities for dialogue.

Couples therapy focuses on the relationship itself: its history, patterns of interaction, and experiences that have become difficult to understand or communicate.

Keeping the relationship in focus

Important conversations can become repetitive or lead to misunderstanding. Couples may struggle with distance, trust, intimacy, or major decisions. Therapy provides a space to explore how these experiences emerge within the relationship.

My work aims to support greater clarity about each partner's experience and the ways they affect each other, without deciding in advance what direction the relationship should take.

Issues couples may explore

  • Recurring conflict and communication
  • Emotional distance and intimacy
  • Sexuality and relationship expectations
  • Transitions and shared decisions

My professional references

I completed postgraduate specialization in Couples Therapy at Instituto Par. My work draws on contributions from the Gottman Method and Dan Wile's collaborative approach.

Developing clarity together

For me, a central idea is to keep the relationship, rather than either partner, at the center of the work. The aim is not to determine who is right but to explore interaction patterns and broaden the possibilities for dialogue and informed choices.

Can sessions be held in English?

Yes, I work with couples in English and Portuguese. Availability also depends on where each person resides and any relevant local professional requirements.
